The New Side of Neosporin

When I think of NEOSPORIN®, I think of the first aid antibiotic ointment that I trust with my family to help prevent infection and aid healing in minor cuts and abrasions, I always have it in our first aid kit. Today they have expanded their line to include a new skincare line designed specifically for people with eczema, called NEOSPORIN® Essentials™.

Anyone who has dealt with or has a family member who has eczema knows how miserable it can be. Here is some information about eczema taken from the press release I received:

Eczema is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition characterized by dry, itchy skin and visible skin rash.  Over 35 million Americans, both children and adults, suffer from eczema.  The prevalence of eczema has increased nearly 400% over the past 30 years and is projected to continue to increase due to environmental and other factors such as stress. Despite its prevalence, finding an effective solution that truly treats and heals eczema-prone skin is a common frustration of sufferers.  This is particularly difficult because eczema not only causes physical discomfort, but can also be emotionally draining as it impacts every aspect of life – what you wear, what temperature your room should be, etc.

After extensive research and clinical studies were conducted to help scientist better understand how eczema manifests and how it can best be treated, the 3 products that currently make up the NEOSPORIN® Essentials™ line were created.  Each product in the line is antibiotic free and contains their unique RELIPID Formula which contains a lipid, humectant, emollient and botanical blend to help retain moisture. NEOSPORIN® Essentials™ is perfect for my husband who has very sensitive skin with areas that are easily irritated and become itchy and scaly when not properly moisturized. He felt like the NEOSPORIN® Essentials™ did provide him relief and I did notice some areas did appear noticeably less irritated even after a few days of use. The anti-itch cream does contain hydrocortisone 1%--so you need to be careful if you are sensitive to that, but I think the NEOSPORIN Essential might be worth checking out if you or family member deal with eczema type problems, you should be able to find it in the first aid aisle.

Cookie Dough, Chocolate Brownie Treats & Sprinkle Cupcakes (YUM)

What are your favorite treats?  If you have a sweet tooth I am sure you have enjoyed cookie dough, brownies and cup cakes at some point. 

The problem with Cookie Dough is that you have to worry about how safe it is because of the eggs.  I have seen Cookie Dough Bites, but until now I had not tried them. Surprisingly enough theses taste exactly like raw or frozen cookie dough.  Making this a safe and convenient alternative to raw cookie dough.

 If cupcakes are more your thing, Hello Kitty Sprinkle Cupcake Treats, may be just for you. These super yummy treats are egg free and are going to be a hit with little girls everywhere.

Brownies are my downfall and these Hello Kitty Chocolate Brownie Treats are really hard to stop eating once you start.   Alone they are great, but I put mine on top of some vanilla ice cream and enjoyed every last bite.

Care Bears Welcome To Care-a-Lot

The Care Bears are back and inviting you to Care-a-Lot every Saturday morning on the HUB.

 If you are my age then you remember the Care Bears from your childhood and now it is time to share the fun your kids.  About six months ago I introduced my daughter to the Care Bears, I expected her to like them but I had no idea just how far she would take her interest in her new found friends.   A very long story short she has developed an "imaginary world" where the Care Bears are living with us, they even went on vacation with us.  When I heard that the HUB was going to bring them back on Saturday's I got very excited.

If you have young children I am sure you have seen the Care Bear movies at some point.  If so you will notice a few changes in the new series including, new voices, updated Care-a-Lot (much more backyard like) and so far I have not seen Oopsy, which as you would know it is my daughter's favorite one.

Welcome to Care-a-Lot does introduce a new bear, Wonderheart, she is the young niece of Tenderheart.  I get the feeling that she is still learning her way and while she asks a lot of questions she is eager to help the other bears and be part of Care-a-Lot.

Care Bears, Welcome To Care-a-Lot first aired on the HUB on June 2nd.  There have only been three episodes and I am sure that you will not be behind if you start watching now.  With any luck your children will fall in love with the Care Bears just like mine did and let's face it when a show teaches values, manners, and teamwork you want your kids watching.

I only recently caught Teen Wolf as a rerun on MTV and I completely understand why this show is so popular. I complete got sucked into the show and so when I got a chance to finally watch the entire first season and catch up with the entire story line on the Teen Wolf: The Complete Season One DVD set I was super excited! They sort of took the original Teen Wolf movie from the 80's (which I enjoyed) and intensified it. The show is humorous, dramatic and of course has a bit of romance, all rolled into one. Fans of the show will want to have this DVD set. If werewolves & vampires are something you enjoy and you haven't discovered the MTV series Teen Wolf, I would recommend checking it out!
