World Vision has been working as a Christian humanitarian organization since 1950. They are dedicated to working with children, families and communities worldwide to reach their full potential and to help the overcome poverty and injustice. They serve the World's poor (yes, even here in the USA) regardless of a person's religion, race, ethnicity or gender.  In order to make their goals a reality they need our help--through charitable donations, and with Christmas only a few months away, now is the perfect time to "Share the True Spirit of Christmas with a Child in Need!"

The proceeds of the gifts below directly help children and families in need:

Artisan Multi-colored Necklace: Fight human trafficking through this semi-precious stone and glass bead necklace. This unique, colorful strand can be worn long or short, as a bracelet or even a belt.
Artisan Beaded Necklace: This glass-bead necklace was handmade in Thailand and can be worn several different ways — even as a multi-stranded bracelet. Ornament Set: This set of handmade Zakale wire & bead ornaments are from Nairobi. Meaning "reuse" Zakale crafts are made from recycled materials by a group of Kenyan artisans reclaiming their own lives from poverty.
Gertie the Plush Toy Goat: Gertie the Plush Goat is available exclusively through World Vision and is a representation of the goats that help children and families around the world.  Chuma the Plush Toy Chick: Chuma the Plush Chick is available exclusively through World Vision and is a representation of the chickens that help children and families around the world.  Hand-Embroidered Silk Scarf: With a contribution of $85 a recipient receives a beautiful, hand-embroidered silk scarf made in Thailand that features vibrant colors with a soft silky feel.  Approximate size of scarf is 58" long by 28" wide.

These and other life-changing gifts, available through World Vision help those in need around the World, and are also unique, meaningful items for the recipients.  In addition to these gifts, items that provide food such as goats, sheep and chickens can be purchased in the name of a loved one. At $75, goats are one of the most popular because they nourish families with healthy milk, cheese and yogurt. Check out all the options available through the World Vision website.

This year World Vision has created the option to create a personal My Gift Catalog page to allow you to create a personalized fundraising page, where family and friends can visit and purchase a gift from the catalog instead of traditional holiday gifts.  It can be used over the winter holidays and all year long for birthdays, weddings, graduations and other celebrations, if you wish!

Again this year, World Vision staff will be traveling around the world to get a look inside the lives of families that purchases from the gift catalog has impacted, with their "The True Spirit of Christmas" tour! Donors can follow them on the World Vision facebook page.

Remember, World Vision, Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible in full or in part.

These gifts are the perfect way to give at Christmas time--gift a wonderful gift to your family and friends while making a difference in someone's life around the world and in my opinion your family and friends will love receiving a gift that gives, these gifts are beautiful and well constructed.

This item(s) was received in the hopes of being placed in the gift guide.  Opinions are honest, no compensation received.  Review by Michelle.
If a giveaway is offered, we can not promise a Christmas delivery.
