Walmart Back To School Clothing Challenge Plus Gift Card Giveaway

Back to School is here and is all of your shopping done?  If not, have you considered Walmart? If not you will want to after you see the deals I was able to pick up today on school clothes.  You can even get a sneak peek and start putting your back to school closet together right now at Walmart.com's Back to School Closet Creator.

Before I tell you just how much I spent check out these six complete outfits, yes a total of 12 pieces I picked up for our daughter.  On a funny note this is the first time I have ever taken our daughter into a dressing room and something tells me we will never visit Walmart again without stopping by to try something on, she just loved it.

 Outfit number one is my personal favorite, the shirt is by Candy Girl and is tagged at $7.97, the pants Faded Glory at $9.92.

 Both pieces in number 2 are from Faded Glory, the shirt $4.97 the pants $7.00

 Number three, the shirt from F.R.Z. sells for only $4.88 and the pants from Faded Glory came in at only $7.00.

 Number four of course is our daughter's favorite.  The Hello Kitty shirt lists at $6.97 and pants also from Faded Glory came in at $7.00.

My Mother tagged along on this shopping trip and this little two piece set from Faded Glory was her personal favorite and at only $7.97 for a two piece set you can not go wrong.

While my Walmart challenge was to get 5 outfits,  I somehow ended up with a sixth one.  The Capris are on for only $5 right now and if tank tops are on your list, the Faded Glory collection is on clearance for only $2 each.  I am thinking about going back later tonight to get a few extra to put away for next summer.

My challenge was to purchase five outfits for our daughter to back to school in while staying in a budget of only $75....do you think I did it?

I am proud to say I did.  My subtotal came in at $70.68 and the tax rate at the Litchfield, IL Walmart is 7.5% for a total of $5.12.  Making my total only $75.80!  Granted I am .80 cents over, but I was able to get six outfits rather than the five they sent me in for.

If Walmart gave you $25 to help your child get a few things for back to school what would you get?  I guess you wouldn't know unless you had a chance to win a gift card.
