Summer Fun With Chalk City Review & Giveaway

Every once in a while, I find something that I find a "toy" that I think my child can really benefit from--not just enjoy but really benefit from--for us the Chalk City Activity Kit.

The Road Maker and each of the stencil sets are sold separately, but they work perfectly together. 

I am always trying to find innovative ways incorporate my son's physical therapy into fun activities and when I opened this up, I knew this could be just the ticket! Well, let me just say, it completely exceeded my expectations! My husband created a little little course on the sidewalk between our house and our garage. He said everything was very easy to use, and we love that it just uses standard sidewalk chalk that you can find pretty much everywhere! The Road Maker made making straight even lines easy. Then we took the various stencils and created different "stops" for our son to complete specific activities--so many jumping jacks, hop on the right foot, hop on the left foot, spin x many times and so on. He absolutely loved it and had no idea that we were incorporating therapy into his play. Since it hasn't rained here lately, the course remains on the sidewalk so each time he goes out to the car or back to the house he is completing his course! I found this to be such a useful physical therapy tool for us that I had to take the activity booklet into show his PT and PT assistant!

The obstacle course is what was the biggest benefit to our family at this time but all the other activities and games that you can create with the Chalk City Activity set is pretty amazing, cities, roads, courses, games and simply whatever you mind can imagine, it really is a great way to get our kids outside and active!
