SmartShield Sun Protection Review & Giveaway

I know that using sunscreen is very important to our skin health and to how quickly our skin ages, but I admit, I hate how most of it feels on my skin--slimy and gross and the hotter it is, the slimier it feels. I recently tested out a couple of the SmartShield sun protection products, their face stick and the sunscreen towelette, and with good success.
SmartShield was created to correct the problems ("too messy, too greasy and too smelly") people, like me, have with most sunscreens. SmartShield products are all natural, eco-friendly, oil-free and made with the added benefits of aloe vera and vitamins A & E.  They call it "Serious Sun Protection."

The SmartShield Face Stick is a newer member to their line and it is perfect for protecting your face and ears from sun (SPF 30), wind and cold. It's stick form allows for basically hand-free application. It aloe-enriched formula goes on dry and remains sweatproof. It is basically oil-free, so no slimy feeling--it left my skin feeling soft but not sticky or slimy. It is Dermatologist recommended and perfect for everyday use. The active ingredients are Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide.

The SmartShield Sunscreen Towelettes contain their SPF 30 sun protection liquid, which is waterproof and sweatproof, on a saturated soft towelette. It is also oil free, going on cleanly and easily with no residual stickiness or sliminess. It is fragrance free, making it great for hunters. It also meets the OSHA standards for protection from UV for outdoor employees. The towelette design makes a clean, easy application and they are so much easier to take anywhere than taking an entire bottle of something. Add a couple towelettes to your purse and you always have your sunscreen on hand.

I really like how both of these SmartShield products worked for me, they are so easy to use and convenient--perfect for keeping with you in your purse so you are never without your sunscreen when you need it, very important in my household, my husband (who burns easily) is forever forgetting to apply sunscreen before we leave the house. They also make applying sunscreen to my child a breeze.  The Face Stick will be great for winter outdoor activities--skiing, snowmobiling and what my family calls "snow fun!" These are just 2 of the many products in the SmartShield line--along with a variety of sunscreen, they also carry insect repellents, self-tanners, and lip balm, based on these 2 products, I have a feeling I would like any of their products--all natural, eco-friendly and oil free, good for me and my family!

Sunscreen is very important to me because I'm fair skinned and I take meds that say I can't be in the sun without wearing sunscreen. In my teens and early 20's I never reaplied sunscreen like I should have and now have sun damage on my face and lower arms.
Thanks for the cool giveaway! :)

No shadow . . . seek the shade! If your shadow is shorter than you are, you're likely to sunburn.
