My son and I really enjoy the TIME for Kids series of book. Whenever we look at one, we discover something new and interesting. They are chock full of information and always seem to help answer some of the million questions my child always seems to ask. TIME for Kids: Big Book of WHAT?--801 Facts Kids Want to Know (Time Home Entertainment Inc, 2012) is no exception.
TIME for Kids: Big Book of WHAT? covers 12 areas of questions including: Animals, Space, The Human Body, Weather & Climate, Food, Survival, Sports, History, Holidays & Festivals, Mysteries, Inventions and The Future. Each chapter covers a variety of related topics, presented with bright colors and full color pictures. It includes descriptions and various trivial facts related to the topic. Several of the chapters also include a "Try It!" section for hands on learning.
TIME for Kids: Big Book of WHAT? is designed for kids 8 and up, but my 5 year old has quite the curiosity and really enjoyed this book as well. It was great for parent-child bonding time when it comes to slightly younger scientific thinkers like my child. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with a TIME for Kids book, they are always entertaining AND educational!
