Funky Monkey Snacks Are Perfect For Summer Review & Giveaway

Last summer we discovered one of our favorite snacks! They are called Funky Monkey Snacks and they are simply 100% real fruit snacks that are made using a proprietary freeze-drying process the creates "Fruit that Crunches" while retaining nearly all of the natural goodness that fruit provides.

Funky Monkey Snacks are free of gluten, wheat, dairy, peanut and tree nuts. These snacks contain no added sugars, colors, flavors or preservatives and are Fat Free.  The fruit used in Funky Monkey are non-GMO project verified. Funky Monkey Snacks are also vegan, raw and certified Kosher. They are produced in Brazil, closest to where their premium fruits are grown and harvested and freeze-dried at the very peak of freshness.  In addition to using organic fruits and juices (eliminating chemicals), they use a freeze drying method that uses less energy than other processes.

All that is great, icing on the cake if you will--but the real reason I love them is that they are truly dried fruit that tastes great--they have been 5 year old approved in our household! There are currently 7 flavors available, the varieties with their complete ingredient list are:

All of the flavors have been a hit at our house. I honestly can't tell you which one we liked best. These Funky Monkey Snacks are perfectly tasty crunchy fruit--perfectly portable, plus, since they are completely fruit--not a bunch of extra ingredients--1/4 cup of Funky Monkey Snacks is a fruit serving--the 0.42 ounce package contains 1 fruit serving and the 1 ounce package contains 3 fruit servings. So it is a great way to get extra fruit servings into my child without him really realizing it. I like that the fruit is really crunchy and not at all chalky like some dried fruits are. We seriously grab a package of Funky Monkey at the store, as a treat instead of those sugar laden ones and my son loves them, maybe even better--he will pick them out of the treat basket instead of most less healthy options.  I will definitely be adding these to his school lunches, as a healthy treat!
