I love the Chicken Soup for the Soul books and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Here Comes the Bride: 101 Stories of Love, Laughter, and Family is no different. It has been 14 years in June that I was married, but I remember the day and the preparations up to the day like it was yesterday, so it was fun reading through the 101 stories about what others have experienced. I do think this would be a wonderful book for the newly engaged couple, I think they will love it, plus the short stories might be the quick break they need from the stress of the preparation for the big day!

Our wedding was very simple. We wore clothes that we already had and bought a simple cake at Wal Mart. Wedding day came and I had gained a few pounds. The dress that I was going to wear was shall we say, bursting at the seams. I only had 2 hours left. I wore another outfit, so things worked out...but I thought I was going to have to wear jeans..

My sisters wedding was nice.The only bad thing that happened is my daughter almost passed out because she ate a small breakfast and no lunch.She drank champagne on an empty stomach.She was one of the bridemaids and was standing in the hot sun,not a good thing.I told her when she gets married next year I'm going to make sure she eats.Nobody wants to see the bride pass out.I have seen quite a few grooms pass out on funniest home video.I know that's not much of a story,but I wanted to get my entry. Thanks for the cool giveaway!

we had a very simple wedding, as we thought we were going to have a big one later - never happened. It was held in a park, which would have been beautiful if it wasn't the middle of January lol.
