Over the past several years, the family friendly band, The Cat's Pajamas, has won several awards, and their latest release, Backseat Driver (Howlin' Records, 2012) has already received the 2012 Parents' Choice Silver Honor Award!
The Cat's Pajamas: Backseat Driver brings us 11 high-energy songs that are sure to get kids (and adults) moving--you just can't help but find yourself tapping along! It combines storytelling, dance and music, including awesome rhythms, a cool horns section, their own signature 4-part harmonies (think Andrews Sisters Like) in songs with a variety of styles including rock, country, blues, jazz, Latin and more, pulling out the best of each and creating songs that kids can relate to, and adults can enjoy also!

The Cat's Pajamas: Backseat Driver is a hit at our house (and in our car)! It is a perfect for a preschool aged dance party (recommended for ages 2-8), it flows in a way that you can just push start and let them jam away! I got a kick out of the unique twist they applied to traditional fairy tails and nursery rhymes. It has some great lessons mixed in it as well. It is a very fun, unique and engaging album that is bound to find repeat playing time!
