An American Girl McKenna Hit Store Shelves Tomorrow *GIVEAWAY*

Do you have a daughter?  If so I am sure that you know tomorrow is a big day,  An American Girl McKenna Shoots For The Stars, arrives at both American Girl and Walmart Stores nationwide.

If you read My Springfield Mommy then I am sure you saw my post last week about how our daughter was given the chance to see the movie and has pretty much watched nothing else since.  This weekend she was able to share the movie with a few select friends and they all agree that McKenna is going to make the perfect addition to the American Girl family of films.

It is hard to share too much about the movie without giving anything away, which of course is the last thing I want to do so I will allow the synopsis tell you everything you need to know:

Meet McKenna Brooks, a determined and confident young gymnast, in this all-new modern-day adventure. McKenna is on track to make the regional competitive gymnastics team but off-track in school, where she’s suddenly struggling to keep up.  When her teacher suggests a tutor, she’s embarrassed and desperate to keep it a secret from her friends. Then a bad fall at the gym sidetracks her from her favorite sport.  Will she recover in time to make the team? Can she succeed in school, too?  McKenna needs to focus on her strengths to overcome her challenges – and, with the help of family and friends, find a way to believe in herself again.

Do you know that McKenna's Mom has a coffee shop in their home town of Seattle?  Our party's theme was coffee and tea with Mom while watching the movie but once the movie started there was not asking the girls to do anything let alone hang out with Mom.  So while the girls sat glued to the TV the adults sat and played catch up since summer reduces how often we see each other at school.

With this week being a holiday, why not stop by Walmart and grab McKenna Shoots For The Stars and make a family event out of it.  Grab a pizza and some popcorn and just spend some time together as a family, trust me even Dad's will enjoy this one.

If you can not make it to Walmart of American Girl you can set your DVR to NBC, the movie will air on Saturday, July 14th.
