We love to travel and experience the world. I really enjoy 1,000 Places To See Before You Die: The New Full Color Second Edition. It is a wonderful reference point for planning a trip and for ensuring that you see the best places when you find you self in a particular location. It has been lots of fun to see how many places that we have traveled to, made the cut--my only trip outside the US was to China--so we are definitely limited on the places outside the US, but we haven't done too bad on those within the US, plus we have several already planned for the future, but this book broadened our views even greater. I love all the details they provide for each location. It was also fun to see what was located near us--Chicago and The Lincoln Trail-Springfield, IL made the book!
