PowerICE Review

As summer comes into full swing, so do those fun summer sports, along with the extremely hot temperatures and the increased risk of dehydration. As this time of the year hits, I am always looking for ways to keep my family cool and hydrated. I was recently given the opportunity test out the PowerICE Enhanced Frozen Hydrator with Electrolytes, which my family loves the taste of and I feel good about giving them.

PowerICE is a frozen ice bar designed to hydrate, cool and replenish electrolytes that are lost during physical activity, the extreme summer or working conditions heat. I look at them as a way to replace the water and electrolytes lost through sweating--my son is a ridiculously heavy sweat-er so dehydration is always a concern of mine. PowerICE is not only refreshingly icy cool and helps cool the body in general, but it also helps to replenish lost sodium and potassium and they are vitamin C fortified as well, helping the body recover from the extremes. 

I love that PowerICE has more nutritional value that other frozen options that are readily available.  PowerICE has only 30 calories per ice bar, they contain no caffeine, no artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup, and they are gluten free. They are also Kosher, in the process of being certified so. 

PowerICE is available in 2 flavors--Orange Blast (my son's favorite) and Lime Kicker (my husband's favorite), I think both are tasty and gentle, not at all overpowering, and very refreshing on a hot summer day. My son is always asking for another one!
