Gooseberry Patch Kid Friendly Recipes Review & Giveaway

I admit, cookbooks and recipes are one of my downfalls in life. I read cookbooks almost like a novel and I drive inspiration for my next meal from it's recipes. My latest kick has been to find kid friendly recipes and Gooseberry Patch (one of my favorite cookbook publishers--yes, I have several of theirs) is releasing a new little cookbook called Our Favorite Kid-Friendly recipes and I got to take a peek!

My 5 year old is really starting to want to help in the kitchen and lots of the recipe in the Our Favorite Kid-Friendly Recipes cookbook are completely appropriate for him to help with. Some of our favorites so far are One-Pot Chicken & Noodles, Lasagna Toss, Chinese Fried Rice, Dirt Cups and Monster Cookies, but we have lots more on our wish list to try and with my son home with me over the summer, it is the perfect time to try them all! Do you ever notice that when kids cook, they actually eat better!  Plus, my son thinks it it pretty cool to have his own "kid-sized" cookbook, and it is sturdy enough for him to handle as well!  Be sure to read all the tips throughout--they are wonderful!
