GBC BadgeMates Badge Laminator Kit

I recently received the GBC BadgeMates Badge Laminator Kit, along with some GBC LongLife HeatSeal Thermal Laminating Pouches, from My Binding to try out. I must say it works very well. 

The GBC BadgeMates Badge Laminator Kit comes with everything you need to create 5 "badges" including:

*laminator--laminates 5 mil pouches up to 4" Wide

*5 pre-punched ID Badge lamination pouches & carrier

*5 breakaway lanyards with Bulldog clip

*Instruction sheet--walks you through step by step instructions along with helpful hints and of course traditional warning, it is an electric machine

The kit is photo quality and comes with a limited 1 year warranty. 

The GBC LongLife HeatSeal Thermal Laminating Pouches are specially created with UV Ray protection and designed to give you a highly durable, moisture resistant, ultra clear professional finish. These are available in a variety of sizes from menu size to luggage tag sized. I was given a pack of the photo sized.

I admit, I wasn't really sure what I was initially going to do to test out the Badge Laminator kit--which would be perfect for a small office or the like for creating employee and visitor badges, so I decided to have my son create his own luggage tag--yeah, I know, the punch was on the wrong edge--but hey, he is 5 and had a thought it was beyond cool to have his own badge/tag. Creating your own tags can really help you identify your luggage when travelling! This small size laminator is also great for flash cards and for laminating wallet sized pictures--perfect for daddy's wallet where pictures tend to take a beating! Now the photo size pouches were just a little to big for the badge laminator kit so I just trimmed them down to fit--no big deal...now if I was going to do primarily 4X6" photos, I would choose a bigger laminator, but no worries, my binding has plenty of laminators and supplies as well as other binding supplies to choose from.  

If you don't already have a laminator, you will be surprised (I was) at how many uses you can find right in your own home, from kitchen (keep those favorite recipe cards clean) to photos, to crafts and much more!  My Binding has most everything you need when image and the perfect presentation matters for your project at home and at work, you are sure to find just what you need when if comes to binding and laminating supplies!
