I understand the importance of proper dental health. It is amazing to me just how many other health issues have been linked to dental health, so teaching my child good dental hygiene and having my child routinely see a dental health professional has been the utmost of importance for our family. The National Children's Oral Health Foundation (NCOHF) is here to help educate and encourage and promote positive dental health in our children and they have created their America's ToothFairy program to do that! Here is the description of America's ToothFairy from the press release I received:
America's Toothfairy: Giving Kids Something To Really Smile About
The National Children's Oral Health Foundation: America's ToothFairy® (NCOHF) has taken the small, mythical character that children dream of and transformed her into a true superhero. Did you know that tooth decay is the #1 chronic childhood disease? In fact, millions of children are suffering in such pain, they are unable to eat, sleep and learn. While severe tooth decay is a growing problem, it is also treatable, curable, and preventable through basic education and proper oral hygiene practices. The NCOHF is dedicated to delivering comprehensive oral healthcare for underserved children. Providing preventive, restorative and educational oral health services to more than 600,000 children each year, the NCOHF: America's ToothFairy® aims to eliminate pediatric oral disease and promote overall health and well-being for millions of children from vulnerable populations.
The National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy® (NCOHF) is asking for your help in the fight against tooth decay. We encourage you to learn more about taking part in good oral health practices with your children by signing up for the America’s Toothfairy Kids Club! Kids Club members will receive personalized letters from the Tooth Fairy herself, as well as quarterly fun, educational activities! Although donations are not required to participate in the Kids Club, we would like to encourage you to support the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy® by donating at least $10, if possible. Your $10 will help provide dental health to children in need.
To help promote America's ToothFairy Kids Club, the NCOHF has teamed up with Xlear, Inc, a manufacturer of all-natural, health-enhancing products that use xylitol to sweeten. Xylitol is a naturally occuring sugar that has been found to actually improve the health of your mouth, it has been found to combat bacteria in the nasopharynx helping maintain ear & upper airway health, it doesn't trigger a negative insulin reaction in the body (which makes it a great option for diabetics) and it may even prevent osteoporosis! The currently carry a variety of products including Xlear Sinus & Nasal sprays, Spry dental health products, XyloSweet sweetener and SparX Candies, which taste delicious, yet are actually good for your teeth!
To help promote positive dental health in children and America's ToothFairy Kids Club, NCOHF and XClear are offering one lucky My Springfield Mommy reader the chance to win this dental health promoting prize pack, which includes:
*A DVD copy of the Tooth Fairy 2 movie featuring Larry the Cable Guy and
*A selection from Xlear, Inc's Oral Care product line including SparX Candies
Giveaway ends at 8pm, on Sunday, May 6th.

Watched the clip. We just have made tooth care part of the daily routine - brush 2X daily and floss daily. We also go to the dentist every 6 months.
