Ringo 2012

Richard Starkey, much better known as the Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr, has just released his 17th solo studio album, Ringo 2012! Ringo 2012 is his second album release on Hip-O/Ume (a Universal Music Company). Ringo produced this album, recorded it in LA and mixed in England along with Bruce Sugar. There are 9 tracks on Ringo 2012, Think It Over and Rock Island Line are cover tracks, and Wings and Step Lightly are new versions of Ringo's own songs.  Joining Ringo in the studio for Ringo 2012 were musicians: Michael Bradford, Ann Marie Calhoun, Matt Cartsonis, Steve Dudas, Charlie Haden, Amy Keys,  Kelly Moneymaker, Richard Page, Van Dyke parks, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dave Stewart, Bruce Sugar, Benmont Tench, Joe Walsh , Don Was, Edgar Winter.  Ringo 2012 is available digitally, on CD and vinyl.
The tracks on Ringo 2012 include:
  1. Anthem
  2. Wings
  3. Think It Over
  4. Samba
  5. Rock Island Line
  6. Step Lightly
  7. Wonderful
  8. In Liverpool
  9. Slow Down
I enjoyed Ringo 2012, it was short (less than 30 minutes) and sweet. I definitely had the "Beatles" type undertones that I love. I think Wonderful might me my favorite track on the album, but I enjoyed the other tracks as well!  Ringo fans will love this album and so will many others! Give it a listen!
