A girlfriend of mine just went through a nasty divorce. Her husband had been cheating on her for years, and she didn’t know it. She accidentally found out when she overheard a conversation he was having with a woman when he thought he had hung up his cellphone after talking with my friend when he was on an out of town trip. Be sure your sins will find you out my mother always said. Anyway, she ended up getting a divorce from that scoundrel. She got the house and a big alimony and child support settlement. Her husband had always paid all the utilities so taking care of all that was new to her. She is starting to get the hang of everything now. I think she is going to be OK.
