Think Hickory Farms for Your Holiday Gatherings

Has Hickory Farms been a tradition with your family like it has been with mine? I remember Hickory Farms being served every year at Christmas at my house. My mother would make a nice platter with crackers and the Hickory Farms cheeses and sausage.

The box pictured above looks very familiar after having seen it at my home over the years and ironically it was the same one sent to me a few weeks ago. It is called the Summer Sausage & Cheese Gift Box. It contains:

-2 Signature Beef Summer Sausages 10 oz.

My daughter doesn't just like cheese, she loves cheese. We took the box over to a family gathering and everyone there kept eating on it and did not stop until it was all gone.

I have been wanting to try out Zumba Fitness for my Wii so I was super excited when I was able to try out the Zumba Fitness 2. Let me tell you I am completely addicted to it. Since, I am a beginner with Zumba, I loved that they added the entire tutorial that teaches you how to do the various dance moves at both 1/2 speed and full speed. I also love that it tracks your time and calories burned for the day and over time, I find that to be very motivating. I have been having so much fun with it that I can easily pull it into my exercise routine! I also love that you can create your own playlist with your favorite songs or take one of their classes and you have the option of class length (20, 45 or 60 minutes) and impact levels (low, medium or high) so you can tailor it to meet you own personal needs. I love it!

Zumba Fitness 2 for Wii would make a wonderful holiday gift for teens and adults who are looking for a great workout at home, plus it will give you a great start on those fitness goals for the new year!

Build A Bear Workshop $10 Gift Card Giveaway

If you have been following My Springfield Mommy for a while you know that our daughter's collection of Build-A-Bear Workshop furry friend's just keeps growing. I joke that she needs to apply for a job with them, but then she would only need more clothes and friends.

Her newest friend, a blue teddy named Winter Wonder, has been her most exciting so far. A few weeks ago we went up to Chicago for the day and while visiting Navy Pier we surprised her and let her go into the Build-A-Bear Workshop. As you can image this was exciting enough, but when the penguin from Happy Feet walked in she froze in amazement.

After hanging out with him for a few minutes it was off to making Winter Wonder. The process was fun, the selection was the hardest part. She really took the time to look them all over and after almost getting a Happy Feet one, she picked out Winter Wonder.

Making her was fun, somehow she ended up with two hearts so our daughter says she is "super special". After a good bath and fluff, it was off to get dressed, named and to head home.

From my own personal experience I find the new pizzas and salad bars to offer everything you would want for dinner. The show is always new and without a doubt they are always clean and the staff friendly.
