Super Why's New Season & New Character Review & Giveaway

If you have a Super Why fan in your house like I do, then you probably have already seen the new episodes that started earlier this month. The big news is that a fifth Super Reader has been added to the original 4 characters. The new character's name is Woofster the dog and he has Dictionary Power. The new episode that has the debut of Woofster is called "Woofster Finds A Home". The episode description is "after meeting a cute pup who needs a family, Super Why and his friends travel through Woofster’s special storybook to help him find a home of his own – with Super Why and the reading-powered team!"

Right now you can go to the Woofster section of the Super Why page on PBS Kids to meet Woofster for yourself and watch him in action and play with him too. Your kids can also explore the dictionary with Woofster and learn some new words.

I was sent a kids "Welcome to the Jungle" Dinosaur t-shirt in Red to check out. The shirt itself is high quality and thick--this one is 100% cotton. The printing is well adhered and flexible for a very nice comfortable wearing shirt. The printing and edges of the design are clean. I played a bit with customizing my own design and it is quite easy to do--the hardest part is picking out the design since I don't have a specific mission in mind. They have a lot of design options to choose from.

I would definitely recommend checking out Funky T-Shack for all your custom t-shirt needs, whether it is for an upcoming event or if you are just enjoy t-shirts and just don't want it to be like everyone elses.

Shadow in Serenity Review

New York Bestselling and Carol Award-winning Author, Terri Blackstock latest novel, Shadow in Serenity (Zondervan, 2011) will be available for purchase on September 27, 2011. In this novel she shows the power of redemption and how it can radically transform others and ourselves for the better.

Here is the synopsis for the back of the advance reading copy I received to read for this review:

I loved this book, it kept me reading from start to finish. I enjoyed the Christian undertones--it was not at all preachy (apparently it was originally published as a non-Christian fiction work under a different title). I enjoyed the characters, I felt the author developed them well and made them quite realistic. I loved all the suspense that kept me guessing and reading, plus, I thought it had just the right amount of romance to make it sweet without getting too sappy or mushy. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Terri Blackstock fans will not be disappointed in Shadow in Serenity. Plus, I think fans of suspense novels will also enjoy this book, particular Christians.

Great New Archer Farms Products At Taget

If you do much shopping at Target then you are probably at least familiar with Archer Farms grocery products. To me Archer Farms is the upscale house brand of Target--a bit more gourmet than their Market Pantry options. I had the opportunity to try out a few of the Archer Farms products that would be perfect for tailgating or spending cool evenings at home with your family watching a movie. I was able to try out some of their newest products including: Smoky Chipotle Cheddar Reduced Fat Chips, Midnight Blend Popcorn and the Cinnamon Toast Popcorn Seasoning.

The Archer Farms Smokey Chipotle Cheddar Reduced Fat Chips are a homestyle, kettle-cooked style of potato chip. Like all Archer Farms products they are trans-fat free. To me these chips had a smokey, spice bbq flavor that my husband and I really enjoyed (they were a little spicy for my 4 year old). They contain about 30% less fat than their regular kettle chips. I admit, I would never have guess they were reduced fat if the package hadn't told me that. They were very crispy and flavorful. This is just one of the many varieties of Archer Farms chips available.

The Archer Farms Midnight Blend Popcorn is a combination of golden and blue popcorn kernels. I have an air popcorn popper and it popped up perfectly using that method. Directions for stovetop or 4 quart poppers methods are included on the bottom. We are all popcorn fans in this house--especially our 4 year old. These are also available in Golden and Ruby Red Blend.

The Archer Farms Cinnamon Toast Popcorn Seasoning is the perfect companion the the Midnight Blend Popcorn and it really makes the popcorn taste like Cinnamon Toast which my son and I really enjoyed, it was a fun change from the traditional popcorn seasonings! Other flavors available include: Buffalo, Sea Salt & Vinegar, White Cheddar and Kettle Corn.

If you have not tried Archer Farms products, I definitely recommend giving their products a try. Their increasing variety of premium food products you are bound to enjoy some great foods without the traditional gourmet prices. My family really enjoyed these products.
