As the Dave Matthew Band (DMB) celebrates its 20th year, the band has acquired a fan-base of loyal followers that few other bands have ever achieved. I was given a copy of So Much To Say: Dave Matthews Band--20 Years on the Road to read for this review. I am a fan of Dave Matthews Band, so I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick easy read and very informative. This is the perfect book for any DMB fan or for any fan of musical history and culture.

Mother Goose Club Review

Most of us have sung at least some of the traditional nursery rhymes to our children, but may not have thought much beyond that they are fun to sing and our children enjoy them. Exposure to nursery rhymes at a young age helps children develop the building blocks required to learn to read. When a young child sings, claps, recites or reads along with the nursery rhyme, they develop a feel for the sounds and structures of language--the first step to becoming successful readers! Mother Goose Club (Sockeye Media LLC) was developed by a Mom of 3 (she is also an educator and former PBS producer) to help promote this area of learning.

Mother Goose Club is a series of 1 minute educational episodes that help preschoolers (ages 2 and up) develop reading readiness, enrich their minds and enhance speech skills. Each episode encourages kids to sing, dance and clap their way along with the nursery rhyme, making learning fun and entertaining. The program features a fun and colorful cast of characters including: Teddy Bear, Jack B Nimble, Little Bo Peep, Baa Baa Sheep, Mary Quite Contrary and Eep Mouse, all from Mother Goose World. These 1-minute programs have been featured on PBS stations, and have now been compiled onto a DVD, CDs and even a coloring book, which are available for purchase through Mother Goose Club--they also have other fun activities on their site as well.

Nursery Rhyme Singing Time with Mother Goose Club includes 40 minutes of uninterrupted nursery rhyme fun. Five 5-minute segments feature sing-a-longs, story telling, and lots of rhymes from old favorites to ones they may have not heard as often.

Mother Goose Club Sings Nursery Rhymes Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 CDs each contain 30 nursery rhymes (no repeats) performed in original musical arrangements, including fun favorites like Itsy, Bitsy Spider, Jack be Nimble and Goosey, Goosey Gander on Vol. 1 and Baa, Baa, Baa Sheep, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear on Vol. 2.

Nursery Rhyme Coloring Time with Mother Goose Club brings the nursery rhymes to life with 57 fun coloring pages. Each page includes the lyrics of the nursery rhyme and a coordinating picture to color on heavy weight paper.

I was given a copy of the new Mother Goose Club DVD, Nursery Rhyme Singing Time with Mother Goose Club, along with Mother Goose Club Sings Nursery Rhymes Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 CDs and the Nursery Rhyme Coloring Time with Mother Goose Club to review with my child from Mother Goose Club and Team Mom. Let me just say they were a huge hit with both of us. After just watching the DVD one time, my son spent the remainder of the day reciting various nursery rhymes--for my child (and me) this is huge--given his area of delay which include both speech and recall! So I am sold--I have recited nursery rhymes with him previously but never with the impact that this DVD had on him.

I am very impressed with how well my child responded to the Mother Goose Club products and website.
