Forget Me Not Minerals Review & Giveaway

I have had the opportunity to try out three of Forget Me Not's handcrafted, loose Mineral Eye Shadow. I have been using mineral foundation for quite some time (different brand) and I am sold on mineral makeup because it is so light & gentle on the skin. I like to have my makeup just add to me not design me plus I hate the feeling of heavy makeup. Mineral makeup can be used on all skin types because it contains no oils, waxes, binders, dyes, fragrance, toxins or other fillers with can react to your skin or clog your pores.

This was my first experience with Mineral Eye Shadow and I really liked how smoothly it went on. The colors I have been trying are Buttercup, Lotus & Rosette. I liked how I can apply them as subtly or as dramatic as I want at the time. The shadow stayed true throughout the day. I will definitely be adding the Forget Me Not eye shadows to my makeup routine.

I checked out the Forget Me Not Mineral Makeup website and they carries entire line of mineral eye shadows, foundations, primers, finishing powders, brushes & Multi-taskers (can be used for multiple things). Plus you can purchase samples to try out before you purchase the full size product to be sure that is what you want!  I thought the prices were good & they offer free shipping within the US.

It is the start of a new year--time to clean out our makeup bag and start fresh! Why not try something Handcrafted, Pure & Luxurious to add to your beautiful self.

My Springfield Readers can save 20% on orders of $40 or more when you use code FMN20.

Your Lips Deserve Something Great Like Blamtastic

I consider myself a bit of a lip balm connoisseur! I must admit I am a bit of an addict--I have a lip balm with me at all times & it drives me crazy when I find out I have forgotten to put one in my pocket! My new favorite lip balm is "Balmtastic"!

Blamtastic was created by tween-aged (9 & 10) sisters, Lily & Melanie Sandler, here in the USA--it is also still make in the USA. Blamtastic contains aloe, jojoba oil, sunflower seed oil, mango seed butter & vitamin E, which soothes & protects, without preservatives or petroleum & is paraben-free. Blamtastic is not tested on animals. It also has SPF 15 so your delicate lips are always protected with Blamtastic on.

Blamtastic was created by tweens with other children in mind (but I love it too, and I am just a few years past teenage!). The girls have created two separate lines of lip "Blam"--one line for girls & one for boys! The "Are you Sugar and Spice" girls line is truly girly--pinks, purples, flowery & just plain adorable, with 7 flavors including O.M.G. (Oh My Grape), Sassafrassy Root Beer, Lemon-licious, Wow, Wow Watermelon, Cherry Nilla, Strawberry Shake & Spooky Mystery Sour. The "Or Rough Around the Edges?" boys line is a bit more edgy--black, greens, oranges, with flavor names including Alien Invasion Green Apple, Brain Squeeze sour cherry, Frenetic Fizz orange soda, Radioactive Lemon-lime, Grand Slam Blam bubble gum, Ballistic Blam blue razz & Boo Blam Mystery Tower of Sour . I love that they have made fun lip balm that boys would not be embarrassed to be seen using!

Blamtastic goes on very smooth & easily--not at all sticky or waxy. It smells AND tastes great, you will want to (& probably will) lick your lips, but the good thing is that the formula somehow stayed on even with my 3 year old attempting to lick it off. For us they lasted for quite a long time, depending on what we were doing, I was impressed with how long they lasted. They left my lips feeling very soft and moisturized.

I am so excited about the Blamtastic lip balm that I almost forgot to tell you about another cool product that goes along with the Balmtastic!  The Balm Sleeve is perfectly designed to help you keep your Balmtastic close at hand at all times. You simply slide your Balmtastic into the sleeve then attach it to your backpack, belt loop, purse or keychain! They come in 4 choices: 2 for boys & 2 for girls.

Be sure to check out the Balmtastic website for more information, including the story of how it all began & where you can find these great lip "blams!" Watch for the new flavors they are working on!

As I am sure you have noticed--I really like these lip balms and even though they were created for kids, I think it is perfectly fine for adults to use them as well--I know I will continue to use them & with my sleeve attached to my purse--they will always be close at hand. I am still trying to decide which flavor I like best--I really liked all the flavors I was able to sample (which was all except Grand Slam Blam but I am sure it is great also).  I think one of the most amazing thing about Balmtastic is the ages of the founders/designers--9&10 when they developed the lip balm!

Thank you to Balmtastic for my samples used in this review and to Michelle for helping.  No money was received for this post and opinions are honest.

Bandette's Labels For Your Child's Cup

The Label Itz Bandette is one of the newest products from ViveVita, llc. ViveVita's slogan is "creating solutions for everyday living" especially with families.  The Mompreneur of the company is Robyn Pellei, who is the mother of 9 children all under the age of 10, she homeschools her children and has the educational background & work experience as a nurse & Family Nurse Practitioner (all this leads me to the conclusion that her products are well designed & useful for families).

I got to check out the Bandette, which is a reusable food-grade silicone ring that fits on most cups that you can write on to identify who's cup is who's. The Bandettes are adorable--they come in boy or girl color sets--3 different colors in each set & each one has a different character--my yellow bandette has a honey bee on it and the lavender on has a butterfly on it. This helps the child identify their own cup--'My cup has the yellow honey bee in it." You simply write on the Bandette with a ball point pen & at the end of the day you simply wipe it off with mild pressure or you can choose to make it long term by following the directions to boil--write on--then cool. You choose what you write on the band--name, allergies, date or any other message you wish!  They are microwave & dishwasher safe & BPA free!  They also have a smaller version that will fit baby bottles called the Bandle.

My 3 year old loves the yellow honey bee one! Even though I only have one child, I can see plenty of uses for them. I know they will get lots of use over the summer while my 3 year old is in daycare while I am working out--in the past I always had to write on the cup with a sharpie, these are so much more colorful & fun & more easy for my child to identify with out help! These would also be great at parties and anywhere labeling drinks is essential to keeping our children from accidentally transferring germs!

Be sure to check out the ViveVita website for their other Label itz products including --ToothBand for labeling toothbrushes and "my spot"--seat markers--as well at their Everyday Elegance Line, their Gripsterz Voluntary Character Handle & Walking Rope (give your child freedom, while keeping them close by) & their Kissaboo Boo-Boo cover (reusable bandage replacers).

Would You Like To Learn How To Tap The Source Review & Giveaway

Praise for Tapping the Source:

"If you want to take your life to the next level, read Tapping the Source."Jack Canfield, New York Times bestselling author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series
“Tapping the Source is a key to you finding your own happiness.” Mariel Hemingway
“I am so honored to be a part of this. This is Tapping the Source. It’s an incredible, easy to read book that is truly about mastering the key system for abundance and happiness. What does that even mean? That means how to walk your life and just be open to all the abundance already promised to you and to tap into that deep source of happiness that is available at any time.” Monique Coleman, High School Musical 1,2, 3.
___________________________________
Tapping the Source: Using the Master Key System for Abundance and Happiness is a book by William Gladstone, Richard Greninger & John Selby. This book is a practical how-to-guide for living a life abundant of meaning, fulfillment and purpose, ultimately bringing you true happiness! The system is drawn from Charles Haanel's Master Key System from 1912. Haanel is sometimes known at the Father of Modern Self Development. This self-help type book goes much farther than most because it actually breaks down for you how to use the power of your mind to make things happen with just short daily mediations/exercises.

I am having a really difficult time attempting to explain all this book has to offer, so here is the synopsis from the back of the book jacket:

"Many of us now realize that success in life results not just from random chance, predetermined fate, good connections or even dedicated hard work. But we're lacking a practical daily process for changing our lives and attaining desired goals. Drawn from Charles Haanel's legendary Master Key System, Tapping the Source presents a revolutionary new system for manifesting abundance and happiness. You'll learn the most effective focusing methods so far devised, based on the integration of ancient meditative techniques and potent new insights from cognitive psychology. It's the key to transforming your life in positive ways---and feeling happy and harmonious."

Tapping the Source Movie coordinates with the book. I have watched it twice so far and find it inspirational and encouraging. My favorite quote from the movie was: "Failure is fertilizer, period. When something doesn't work you throw it on the compost pile. You move it around a little bit and you grow a new garden!"--Cynthia Brian.  I think this statement speaks to me because I have a major fear of failure that sometimes holds me back and when you look at it this way--failure is ultimately a success, because you learn & grow from it!

Here is the synopsis from the back of the DVD jacket:

"Tapping the Source. Some say it's a movie .....others call it a movement. What do you think? Does it speak to politics, religion, economics, philanthropy, health, social... or perhaps, does it encompass them all? Whether Tapping the Source shifts your consciousness or remains an enigma is something only you can decide. In either case, a journey of joy and awareness awaits you... but beware, after filming over one hundred leaders who have opened their hearts and minds for you, the journey could be life changing. Are you ready to join them? Could the true star of Tapping the Source be you? It is a discovery that's now within your reach and may amaze you."

I have only just begun to implement the Master Key System outlined in the Tapping the Source book & DVD, but feel this has a lot of potential for helping one find the happiness that is hiding within!

Be sure to check out the Tapping the Source Book website  and the movie website for more information and video clips.

Have You Tried Ideal No Calorie Sweetener?

Ideal No Calorie Sweetener is the sugar substitute that cooks & bakes like real sugar. Ideal is made primarily with xylitol (a natural sweetener found in fruits & vegetables), which is safe for diabetics, pregnant women, children & your teeth. Ideal dissolves quickly in hot & cold beverages & I found it to sweeten similar to cane sugar in my hot & iced teas! I like that ideal measures cup for cup with sugar so it is easy to substitute into recipes--just think of how easy it would be to cut calories just by switching your regular sugar to Ideal Sweetener. I also like that it also has Brown Sugar & Confectionery versions that have no added sugar, so you can truly cook sugar free. Ideal sweeteners are also Kosher & Gluten Free.
Ideal No Calorie Sweetener has a warning posted on their packaging & on their website that Ideal sweetener is NOT safe for your pets because pets cannot safely digest xylitol.  I find the fact that they prominently post this warning very respectable!

The Ideal No Calorie Sweetener website has tons of great information on their products, as well as some great recipes & you can get a coupon so you can give Ideal No Calorie Sweetener a try yourself!

Thanks for my free sample used for this review as well as to Michelle for helping.

Check Out Evenflo Exersauser Webisode's (giveaway)

We all want to give our children the best, without knowing it we could be pressing them into being something they are not.    Which is why sometimes you just have to allow your kids to be kids.

Evenflo has created a line of exersaucers that stimulate your child based on their age.  The exersaucer allows them to move around freely, make noises, turn on lights, and most importantly have fun.  We all know if the baby is happy then Mommy can get some much need work done or maybe even take a ten minute break.

When our daughter was younger she loved being in her exersaucer, in fact she would get upset when we would take her out.  So my Mommy trick was to put her in her exersaucer while I took a shower.  I knew she was safe and I loved it because I could see her the entire time.  How do you use your exersauser?

Evenflo would like to send one reader a child  t-shirt in size 12 months.
