I am very particular about pens. They must be comfortable to hold and write smoothly and brightly (black ink must be black not gray). I spend a lot of time with a pen in my hand so having a great pen is essential to me!
PenAgain (Baumgartens, Inc) has been bringing writing utensils to the world of ergonomically correct for several years now. I was recently introduced to 2 of their pens, the Ergosof PenAgain and the Original PenAgain. These pens have a similar design that uses the natural weight of the hand to provide the downward force to provide the ink to the paper without forced pressure, to provide you with "the most comfortable pen in the world!"
The Ergosof PenAgain and the Original PenAgain are similarly sized (about 1/3 the length of a standard pen), retractable and refillable. They can be used easily by either right or left handed writers equally. The Ergosof version has a soft rubber coating for a bit of added comfort (it also comes with 2 bonus refills).
I have admit, it took me a bit to get used to the PenAgain--I have always held my pencil a little unusually. However once I got comfortable with it I really liked how it felt and liked. It really did seem to cut back on how quickly I noticed hand fatigue. I would definitely recommend these for anyone who spends a lot of time with a pen in their hands, I think once you start using the PenAgain utensils you will notice a difference in you hand comfort!
The PenAgain line of writing utensils would make great stocking stuffers!
