Princeton Tec Bot Headlamp

Princeton Tec Bot Headlamp, Purple/Pink

Okay, what kid doesn't like flashlights? I know mine LOVES them--he is playing with them every chance he can get. What is even cooler to a kid? Being able to wear that flashlight on their head while going on an "adventure" or whatever else they "need" a flashlight for.  What would be the best part for a parent? Letting them have their flashlight on their head without them draining the batteries on your flashlight or headlamp.  Well Princeton Tec has taken their over 35 years of pioneering technology expertise (particularly superior lighting for the outdoor community) and designed the kid sized version of their headlamp family, called BOT.

The Princeton Tec BOT is tough enough and bright enough for an adult but built for a kid. It is compact, light and easy to use. It features auto shut-off and up to 9 hours burn time on 2 AAA batteries. It has 2 ultra-bright LED bulbs that emit 15 Lumens of light. Plus, it is water resistant. It is definitely ready for kids, with its tough construction and compact size and kids will love the bright kid friendly colors that are available (currently 4 different options).

I was able to check out the Princeton Tec BOT. I think it is pretty cool myself. It really is quite bright. My 4 year old absolutely loved it. I think being able to wear the light on his head was his favorite part, he had to go on "adventures" just so he could use it. I could really see a lot of kid friendly uses for the BOT--Camp Outs, Sleep Overs, reading under the covers after lights out--that is the main thing I would have used it for when I was growing up, going on explorations with the family. My favorite features are the tough construction and the auto shut off--both are very important for me having a 4 year old using it. The cost of the BOT is around $16 so I didn't think that was too bad either--especially since my child is bound to get tons of use from it.

The Princeton Tec BOT definitely has lots of possibilities inside and out. Given the opportunity to use it, I think kids will love it and if you are a outdoor--camping, adventuring family it is almost a must have for children--no more running down your equipment when the can have their own kid-sized head lamp
