Live In Lexington Under The Copper Beech Review & Giveaway

Live in Lexington, Under the Copper Beech

Now, here's a CD that will find adults and children alike tapping their toes too! Live In Lexington: Under the Copper Beech (Bartlett Ave Records, August 30. 2011) is the ninth album by Ben Rudnick & Friends. This award winning string-band is upbeat and spirited, with the Town Green in Lexington, Massachusetts being their location of their first gig and a favorite site to play ever since--it was the perfect location and spirit to record this live album.
The press release, I received aptly describes Ben Rudnick & Friends and their music, here is the description:
Affectionately nicknamed "the Grateful Dead for kids," Ben Rudnick & Friends create a jam band dynamic that transforms their concerts into events. The band's stratospheric level of adventurous musicianship brilliantly beams across a spectrum of bluegrass, light folk' calypso, country, second-line New Orleans jazz, and the many flavors of rock. The result: kids and grownups dance together, older folks happily recognize many songs, and a sense of community fun dominates the scene.

The Track list includes 25 fan favorite performed live:
1. I Like Silver, I Like Gold
2. Skip To My Lou

25. When The Saints Go Marching In

When I put this CD in to the player in my car, my 4 year old immediately started jamming. He thought it was awesome--we loved the primarily upbeat songs. It really is a super fun CD for the entire family. I have to admit sometimes I get a bit tired of the traditional children's songs and my 4 year old doesn't always want to listen to my music. Live in Lexington: Under the Copper Beech by Ben Rudnick & Friends is the perfect combination--we both love listening to it and neither of us can sit completely still while listening to either! Too Fun!

Live in Lexington: Under the Copper Beech will be available on the Ben Rudnick & Friends official website, on Amazon, cd baby and other independent retailers nationwide.
