Culturelle Probiotic Review & Giveaway

As most of us know, probiotics are helpful in maintaining good gastrointestinal health. They have almost become an essential part of the diet for many people. Probiotics work by helping maintain a proper balance of good bacteria. By maintaining that proper balance, when taken daily probiotics help:
  • reduce the length and severity of diarrhea caused by anti-biotics
  • boost digestion
  • reduce the likeliness of gas and bloating
  • support the immune system and therefore your overall well-being
  • minimize stomach and digestive issues related to travel
Probiotic supplements seem to be everywhere these days, the trick is in finding the best one that works for you. I was recent tried Culturelle probiotic. Culturelle is the only all-natural leading brand in the United States to feature Lactobacillus GG, one of the most clinically studied (more than 25 years of scientific research) probiotic and one of the strongest at surviving those good-bacteria-gobbling stomach acids and sticking in the intestinal tract. Plus, Culturelle has the optimal number of live, active Lactobacillus GG cells in each capsule as recommended by scientific research.

I like that Culturelle has 4 different versions to choose from:
  1. Natural Health & Wellness
  2. Digestive Health--dairy-free and contains the prebiotic inulin, great for travel associated issues
  3. Probiotics for Kids--dairy-free, easy to give--simply add to cool food or drink
  4. Dairy-Free Health & Wellness
I have been using Digestive Health version for the past couple of weeks, I chose that one because I have had issues tolerating some probiotics in the past, I had been battling a bit of GI discomfort and we are preparing for a family trip. I was amazed, first, that I tolerated it without really any abdominal discomfort--that is a first for me. Second, I simply feel a bit better.  I started my 4 year old on the kids version as well and he hasn't had any issues tolerating it as well. I like that this does not require refrigeration--it is recommended but it will be okay while we travel as long as it doesn't get too hot (over 75 degrees). I also love that the capsules are easy to take but can be opened and mixed with food or a cool drink if you have trouble taking pills.

Culturelle probiotics is now more readily available nationwide, plus be sure to check out the Culturelle Special Offers page!

I have used this before. My two-year-old had a stomach bug for 2 weeks, and no matter what I gave him to eat, it would not go away. My doctor suggested the For Kids version and I swear by it! He didn't even know he was taking anything and I'm sure it cured his belly bug!
