Kids Love Watering the Plants With Sprinkle Sprout Review

Since 1985, McNaughton Incorporated has been bringing us some great, useful and economically minded inventions. Their latest design is called the Sprinkle Spout, which takes an ordinary plastic jug into a watering can!  Leave it to McNaughton Inc to find fun and resourceful ways to re-use an empty jug--preventing it from ending.
So what exactly is a Sprinkle Spout? Well, let me tell you (description from the press release, I received with my sample--much better worded than I was coming up with):

Sprinkle Spout is a daisy-shaped sprinkler head that snaps onto most plastic gallon and half-gallon jugs, turning them into watering cans. Use Sprinkle Spout to water plants, flowers, and landscape. It's also great fun for kids to use during outdoor playtime.

The bright yellow and white Sprinkle Spout fits on water jugs, milk jugs, juice jugs, laundry jugs, windshield washer fluid jugs and glass cleaner jugs. By removing the daisy head, the three-piece attachment also turns into a funnel and pouring spout. Made in USA.

We attached our sample of the Sprinkle Spout to an empty water jug (which is quick and easy) and my 4 year old immediately took it over--he has used it to water the garden, flower beds, the grass, the dog, himself and of course me. He thinks it is the greatest thing ever. I think it is pretty handy and adorable too! I really can be used for anything you would like to sprinkle or pour--we tend to use it with the Daisy attached so he can sprinkle everything--but with the daisy off it would be great to direct flow while pouring. I love that it gives a great use for an empty jug that was headed for the recycle bin (I hope--unfortunately the majority of empty jugs head to the landfills--eek!). I love that you can easily refill the jug by simply removing the top to the daisy and using the funnel part to guide the fluid--you don't have to take it completely apart to refill.

You can purchase the Sprinkle Spout online as a set of 2 for $5.95 or you can purchase in bulk. They are also looking for retailers to carry the Sprinkle Spout.

Thank you to Sprinkle Sprout for my sample used in this review.  Opinions are honest, review by Michelle.
