I am sure you have all seen or at least heard about the show "Extreme Couponing". It inspired me to make a quick run to Schnucks and Shop 'n Save this afternoon.
I admit that I rushed through my coupon selection and could have done better, but I think you will still be impressed at how much I got and how little I spent.
First, I went to Shop 'n Save and here is what I picked up:
18 Sweet Baby Ray's Marinades $1.00
(5/22 SS) Save $1.00/1
Final Price: 18 for FREE
12 Ken's Salad Dressings $1.00
(5/8 SS) Save $1.00/1
Final Price: 12 for FREE
3 Yakisoba Noodles .78
(3/13 SS) Save .50/1
Final Price: 3 for .84
54 Kool-Aid .13 each
(3/13 SS) Buy 2, Get 1 Free or Buy 10, Get 5 Free
Final Price: 54 for $4.68
Per my receipt, I saved 94% or $88.98. I walked out having only paid $5.59.
Then I went to Schnucks and here is what I picked up:
21 Weber Grill Creations $1.00 each
(3/27 SS) Save $1.00/1
Final Price: 21 for FREE
After coupons, I only had to pay sales tax of $.26.
So for the above shopping trip to Shop 'n Save and Schnucks and just a little bit of time clipping coupons, I spent $5.85 on items that were originally over $150!!!
