All Aboard The Dinosaur Train Review & Giveaway

One of my 4 year old's favorite television shows, Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train will be celebrating America's love of trains throughout the month of May! National Train Day takes place on May 7th!  An all new episode, will debut on May 6th on PBS Kids (check your local listing for times). Plus some great train themed activities and events will be featured in partnership with select PBS stations and on the Dinosaur Train website!

In the Dinosaur Train's new episode, "Junior Conductor Jamboree," Buddy, his fellow Junior Conductors and his parents ride the Dinosaur Train from one end of the line to the other. Traveling through all 3 time periods--Cretaceous, Jurassic and the Triassic.  In "Troodon Train Day," the Pteranodon family and their friends travel to the Troodon Town to celebrate their annual Troodon Train Day,  where they learn about & celebrate the Dinosaur Train and are entertained by King Cryolophosaurus in concert (his first in years).

In addition to the the TV series, Dinosaur Train also has an interactive website, where children can play games and discover even more exciting and educational information. Throughout the month of May, the website will feature special train themed games and activities. Kids--be sure to check out the "All Aboard!" online game to become a Junior Conductor!  (Parents & Teachers: be sure to check out the PBS Parents website for tons of useful and fun information about the PBS shows and so much more).

Learning Curve (maker of high quality toys for young children that promote proper development and imagination) now carries a Dinosaur Train Collectible Train Set. My 4 year old got the "starter set" the Dinosaur Train Dino Track Adventure set from his Aunt for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It has everything needed to get started bringing the Dinosaur Train to life--track, motorized Dino Train, 3 figurines and more! Now it is time for us to expand his set, each additional segment includes a collectible, but child safe (ages 3+) figurine and a decorated train car that can be attached to any other Dinosaur train cars & vehicles (sold separately). We were given the Buddy with Train Car set for review & as you guessed it was a HUGE hit with my child!

We were able to preview the Dinosaur Train episode that will air on May 6th. My son loved it! I thought the episode was lots of fun, I loved all the music! We definitely recommend for any dinosaur &/or train loving child to catch this new episodes (and for that matter--all the Dinosaur Train episodes) on May 6th! My 4 year old gave it a "Green Star" (the best on his scale)!
