New Curious George Episode May 6th Celebrating Mother's Day & Hispanic Heritage

Curious George is celebrating Mother’s Day on PBS KIDS with a special episode honoring Hispanic heritage and Latina moms. On Friday, May 6, 2011 (check your local listings), George helps Marco celebrate his Mami in “"Mother’s Day Surprise".”

The celebration continues online at the PBS Kids Curious George area, where kids will find a new piñata game. In this game, kids will help George and Marco make a piñata and learn Spanish words for numbers, colors, and more along the way.

My daughter is a huge fan of Curious George and watches it every morning before school while she is eating her breakfast.  She was excited to get to see a special preview of the Mother's Day episode.  What was an added bonus in this episode is the fact that Curious George, the Man with the Yellow Hat, Marco and Marco's sister all prepare a feast of Mexican food for Marco's mother, and my daughter is a huge fan of that type of food, so she felt that she could relate even more to this episode.

This new episode is scheduled to air on Friday, May 6th, so check your local listings to see what time it will air.
