I was given the opportunity to try out the Baby Hip Hugger by Baby Nari (Toddler size). The Baby Hip Hugger is an easier & more comfortable way for moms, dads, grandparents & others to carry a child. You simply fasten tightly around your waist (above the hips), turn the seat to your preferred position, and you are ready to go, just pick up your child & set them on the seat in whichever position is most comfortable for you & your child--on the side facing toward me works best for my child.

Baby Nari's Baby Hip Hugger comes in 2 sizes--Infant (from time they can sit up to 10 months/22lbs) or Toddler (10 months/22 lbs-36 months/ 40lbs). Both products are adjustable to fit up to a 40 inch waist. The wide (about 5 inches) belt is secured around the waist with both strong velcro & an adjustable safety buckle. The seat itself has a piece of heart shaped non skid material to help your child stay in place & it is tilted to help compensate for your child's weight & bring them more securely against you. The Baby Hip Hugger also has some convenient pockets to make life easier.
The Baby Hip Hugger is NOT a hands free carrier, you do need to always keep an arm around your child to keep them from falling. A great thing about the Baby Hip Hugger is that you can quickly & easily pick up & carry or put down your child--perfect for places like home or a trip out to places like the zoo when you child wants to be up & down frequently. It comes in lots of colors, so both mommy's & daddy's can be comfortable wearing it.
I have to admit when I first say the Baby Hip Hugger I was a bit skeptical--it looked a bit like a fanny pack & I wasn't sure how it would be comfortable and the angled seat just didn't look like it would be big enough for my 35 pounder, but once I actually put it on & set my child on it, I found it to be quite comfortable. I am always carrying my child on my hip so the Baby Hip Hugger is a big help for me. I found that I did not have to keep adjusting or switching sides. My back & arm lasted longer before wearing out. I also had my husband try it out to see how he liked it, he said that he could definitely see the benefit of using this with our child. He liked the idea of the quick up & down (mandatory with our child) and once he got it adjusted correctly, he found it to be comfortable. AND our child loves his new seat! This is a great option for a child carrier for us!
Remember, the Baby Hip Hugger is NOT intended to be used hands free and please be sure to read & follow the instructions completely!
