Last week I told you about a great idea on how to swap out your kids clothes.

Last night I joined Thred Up. The idea is amazing, you send in the clothes your kids have outgrown and swap them for larger sizes. It saves you a ton on clothing and is a great way to be green.

Thredup will send you a mailing box, you fill and tag it. When you ship you then select a box that you would like in return. You can also order an extra box without shipping anything out.

I was surprised, but thrilled to see a rating system in place for each shipper. This is great because it allows you to rate the box you receive based on quality, style and other features. This way you know you can trust what you are getting.

Right now ThredUp is offering a two month membership for free. If you find that the program will work for you a one year membership is less than $30.

Great Tips on Signing Up For Freebies

.I am always posting items you can get for free. Getting FREE stuff in the mail is the best but you have to be careful and make sure that you are getting just that...totally FREE stuff.

Below are some tips to use when registering freebies:

1. NEVER sign up for a freebie that requires you to give your credit card information. Any legitimate free offer will not ask for this.

2. You may want to create a separate email to use when signing up for freebies so your regular email doesn't get bombarded. You can create a free account with google, yahoo, etc.

3. Get in early- most freebies are of limited supply and once an offer is passed around the internet, it goes fast!

4. Use legitimate sources to sign up for freebies, for instance - the company's own website, Facebook, or Twitter. Here are some great places to find freebies:

*My Springfield Mommy - check back often for the best free offers available!
*Walmart.com free samples
*Vocalpoint.com - sign up now to start receiving free samples, full sized items and high-value coupons
*Kraft first taste - sign up now to start receiving high-value coupons and more
*Pssst - sign up now for future free offers

5. Be wary - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Unfortunately, not everybody is honest and there are people out to get your email to sell to companies. Believe me, there will be no goodies at your door and your email will be spammed. Unless it comes directly from the company offering the freebie, just pass it up.

6. Be patient - most offers take 4-10 weeks to arrive.

Free Lowe's Build and Grow Clinics

Lowe's has two more great FREE Build and Grow Clinics scheduled for June and July.

On Saturday, June 26th from 10-11am you and your kids can build a Monster Truck
&
On Saturday, July 10th from 10-11am, the project will be to build a Ball and Cup Game.

The recommended age range to attend is 1st-5th grades.

Go to the Lowe's site to sign up.

The first 50 kids to register and be present at the store at 10am will receive a kit, apron and goggles.

Promises Promises Soundtrack Giveaway

Mark your calendars on June 22nd you can own the Promises Promises soundtrack from Sony Records.

Promises Promises stars Sean Hayes and Kristen Chenoweth and is based on the 1960 film The Apartment which stared Jack Lemmon and Shirley McLaine.

I have been enjoying this Soundtrack for almost a week now. The CD is just fun! It is easy to follow the story and feel like you are right there in the theater enjoying the show in person. I hate to compare but if you are not familiar with Promises Promises you may want to think of the movie Down With Love that was out a few years back. The stories are different but they have the same feel to them.

This has been one of my favorite items to review and share with you. That could be because I am an fan of almost any movie or song from this time. I just wish I was closer to New York, because I promise you I would be getting tickets to this one!
