The 2011 Edition of the Guinness Book of World Records has been released...and this would make a great Christmas gift.
This new book is almost 300 pages long and contains really interesting records, oddities, feats and more. Plus it contains some amazing color photos. It has a big pop culture section as well as sections on pets, endurance, sports, stunts and much, much more.
My husband remembers getting the smaller paperback books every year when he was growing up and he was definitely interested in this new book in the hardcover, full color format. He found that you can spend a lot of time just going page to page and section to section and finding more interesting and more crazy records. There are truly a lot of talented, and perhaps crazy, people in the world and Guinness captures them.

When I was a little girl I would have enjoyed being the person who could hula hoop the longest. I looked on the site, and I saw eight different records on hula hooping, but none for who has hula hooped the longest.(well there was one for someone who had hula hooped the longest under water..)
